Turkey Time!

I love Thanksgiving! There is so much food and festivities, and food and family time, and food and food! (Did I mention the food?)

And since Turkey is the go-to bird during this season, I thought I would share on of my favorite recipes. This recipe, by Martha Stewart, is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend it!

Definitely visit Martha Stewart’s website for wonderful and delicious recipes for this Thanksgiving!!

Food and family has a way of warming the heart, and so I am celebrating this year by having dinner with my family and baking a pie for them.

What are you thankful for this year?

Bad Movies

Most recently, I saw two horrible movies. The first was “Paul Blart: Mall Cop” and the second was “We Are the Millers”. I like Kevin James in King of Queens, but this movie (as all of Adam Sandler’s most recent films–by the way, he produced) was pretty bad. Not funny, and the timing was off. I’m used to Jason Sudeikis being hilarious (Horrible Bosses), but perhaps it was his failed “relationship” with Jennifer Aniston and the fact that they were starring in the film together that made him extremely unfunny. Her as well (no offense). The only funny people in the film were Nick Offerman and Kathryn Hahn, who unfortunately had minor roles.

If anyone has any really bad movies to share, please feel free 🙂

Saturday in San Francisco

My boyfriend and I decided to take a day trip to San Francisco for his birthday on Saturday. Some advice: if you’re planning on traveling to SF through Marin to get to the Golden Gate bridge so that you can park and walk across it, do not go on a Saturday afternoon! There was absolutely nowhere to park and there was a ton of people (to be expected). We’re going to try again another time. It was still nice to drive across the bridge (I haven’t been on the Golden Gate bridge since I was four). We ended up driving to the beach, then back towards Union Square and walked around. If you like coffee, make sure to go to BLUE BOTTLE COFFEE (we went to the Mint Plaza location). It was a bit of a wait, but the staff was friendly and the coffee was incredible. All around, really nice cafe. We proceeded to walk up a four block hill (Mason Street) which killed, but was worth it. Ended up back by the beach, and had dinner at La Trappe Cafe (great place). The downstairs was unfortunately booked for an event, but we still had a good time. Really good food. The beer list is bigger than their menu! It’s basically a binder. 🙂

Anywho, that was my weekend. If you go to SF make sure to get some coffee at Blue Bottle!

Best Man Holiday

Okay everyone the holiday season is right around the corner so you know what that means… Food, Family, and holiday movies. This is said to be the hottest holiday movie with a all star cast featuring Morris Chestnut, Taye Diggs, Nia Long,  Regina Hall and many more. The part two to our sexy, funny, hot and steamy romantic couples of the best man are back to show us what they have been up to. Im excited for this movie I expect tomorrow turn out to be a mixture of young that remember the cast in the first and old that grew up watching them. So sit back relax, and laugh with me.
