The most exciting thing that I’ve done lately is go to the Fox Theatre in Oakland on Thursday night to see the band Alt-J. (If you haven’t listened to them yet, I highly suggest you do. I haven’t received any complaints from anyone I’ve recommended them to as of yet…). Alt-J is a British alternative/indie band that named themselves after the function Alt-J on a Mac that makes a triangle appear on the screen.
The lead singer’s voice is so unique it sounds synthesized but is actually not, which was suprising to find out. It can be hard to make out what he’s saying, but their music is so interesting you really don’t care, and you catch on eventually.
Happy Saturday night, kids!
